ARTICLE VIII: ACTIVITIES

• Section 1—The chapter shall determine multiple group service opportunities for each year. Hours contributed will be applicable toward service hour requirements. (Amended on 2/10/15) 

• Section 2—All members must participate in at least one NHS group service project per year. Each member shall complete five hours of volunteer service per semester (ten hours per year) to remain a member in good standing. (Amended on 2/10/15)

• Section 3— These projects and volunteer contributions shall have the following characteristics: fulfill a need within the school or community; have the support of the administration and the faculty; be appropriate and educationally defensible; and be well planned, organized, and executed. (Amended on 2/10/15)

• Section 4 —The chapter shall publicize its projects in a positive manner.
